We just wanted to take the opportunity to do a round up of the year that was 2015 and where BabyBoo went and is going in 2016…
Some of the stats from the website;

We sold more than 30,000 bibs this year which we are so so proud of, my au pair jokes that every baby in Ireland will have a babyboo bib if we continue to grow as we are now. We attended 12 different events over the year all Munster based – that’s set to change next year. We had more than 500,000 page views on the site and for those of you who understand our bounce rate is just 5.7% for the year, I’m astounded at that one, it means only 5.7% of people looked at one page and left the website without viewing another. It’s a key thing digital people use to measure how user friendly your website is so the analytics nerd in me is really really happy with this one.
We shipped bibs to Mexico, Australia, Kenya, Amsterdam, Canada, France and lots of other places around the world. We grew to 109 different bib designs and 9 of the bigger sized bibs and 4 hat designs.
Our most popular designs this year were the Superhero, Blue Clouds, Vroom Vroom, Red stars and Choo Choo. The boys clearly outnumber the girls although my girl wears all of these and adores the choo choo.
So 2016 will be bringing lots of changes, more new designs, more bigger designs and more new products. We have sleeping bags due to kick off early in the new year which we are so excited about, they’re so soft and warm and cozy and best of all we’ll be doing them up to age 4 and with detachable sleeves for the colder weather.
We’ll be doing a revamp of the website at some stage, we have a new hosting company so the site should be faster and should even work 99% of the time on Safari, I know some of you had issues there this year. We’ll also be doing more events, we’ll be in Dublin in April and October at the Pregnancy and Baby Fairs so put those into your diary to pop by the RDS and say hello. If you’re running an event around the country for babies or mums or just an event you’d like to see us at be sure and get in touch and we’ll see what we can do. We have a huge cohort of customers supporting us in Donegal and the West so we definitely need to make our way up that direction too.
The other big change next year is to our delivery options, we’re bringing in a courier to support An Post with larger orders. We’ve had a few issues with AP over the last few months which some of you are aware of and with postage prices increasing yet again and the cost price of our products in line with the sterling to euro rates we had two options for 2016, increase the price of the bibs or introduce paid for delivery. We have debated this for months now and hope we have found a solution that will work for the majority of you. So from the Jan 2016 for any order up to the value of €25 there will be a charge for delivery and over €25 remains free of charge (in Ireland and UK). We’re trying to keep this as low as possible so for example up to 6 bibs will be €1.80 delivery in Ireland and the UK. We analysed our sales figures for the last 6 months and our average sale is €26.33 so this should not affect the majority of you. All orders will have the option of paying for a courier @ €4 and orders over €25 will be automatically sent via courier so you have tracking ID etc.
That’s it folks – thanks so much for your support in 2015, we can’t tell you how much we appreciate it. We’re going to be taking the next week or so off so we’ll be catching up on orders on the 2nd of Jan and if you order between now and then it will be dispatched on the 4/5th Jan.
As always any questions or queries pop us an email or PM on Facebook.
