We’re recruiting for a new role – Inventory Control Specialist

Job Title:           Inventory Control Specialist (Part – time, 25 hours)

Location:           Ballincollig, Cork.

Babyboo.ie is an online company based in Ballincollig, Co Cork.  We are a worldwide brand who create organic baby and children’s wear.  Our purpose is to create unique, functional and sustainable products to make life more comfortable for our little customers.

We are currently growing our workforce and need help organizing our warehouse.  The ideal candidate will be available to work part time from our Ballincollig warehouse.

The Role:

The Inventory Control Specialist will manage stock levels, monitor inventory accuracy, and maintain a well-organized warehouse. You will work closely with the Team Lead and warehouse staff to ensure stock is efficiently stored and tracked, supporting the overall success of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring accuracy in inventory records.
• Update product availability on the website and anticipate stock shortages.
• Conduct regular stock takes and resolve discrepancies.
• Organise and optimise warehouse storage to ensure efficient use of space.
• Assist with receiving and processing deliveries, ensuring items are correctly logged and stored.
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure stock is picked each day for orders to be completed.
• Communicate any inventory or stock-related issues to management promptly.
• Support ad hoc duties during peak periods, including order fulfillment.

Key Requirements:

• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Previous experience in inventory control or a related role is an advantage.
• Excellent written and oral skills and fluent English are a key requirement
• Proficiency in Excel, Gmail, and Google Drive.
• Self-motivated and capable of prioritising tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
